Situated in the heart of the Bordeaux
appellation area, just south of the Dordogne river near the tiny village
of Massugas and about 15 miles south east of Saint Emilion, has been
producing excellent wines for over 200 years. Indeed, Château Darmagnac
has a unique charm with its surrounding vineyards and forest. Set on a
south facing plateau of sandy-gravelly ground, the estate covers 13 ha of
vineyards. Merlot 60%, Cabernet Sauvignon 20%, Cabernet Franc 20%.
It's Bordeaux Superieur 2002 has deep
ruby color, fruity and clean floral nose, firm attack in the mouth, well
balanced, fine tannins and an aromatic finish. |
